JCSS Foundation Announces First-Ever Scholarship Recipients

The Jackson County School System (JCSS) Foundation is pleased to announce its first-ever scholarship recipients. The JCSS Foundation, a recently established 501(c)3 dedicated to enhancing the educational experience throughout the school system, sponsored 15 $1,000 scholarships this school year, with 10 being awarded to current seniors at either East Jackson High School or Jackson County High School. The remaining five scholarships were awarded to alumni of either high school.
The scholarships range in a variety of categories, to include education, STEM/STEAM, performing arts, technical trades, engineering and healthcare.
The recipients are as follows:
STEM/STEAM: Kayla Boebel, Jackson County High School
Healthcare presented by Northeast Georgia Health System: Karis Bambi Asamoah, Jackson County High School
Healthcare presented by Northeast Georgia Health System: Harmony Kaasjsab Her, Jackson County High School
Healthcare presented by Northeast Georgia Health System: McKenzie Curtin, East Jackson High School
Senior Healthcare presented by Northeast Georgia Health System: Danna Perez Davilla, East Jackson High School Graduate and Piedmont University student
Let's Get Technical Scholarship: Cody Kellar, Jackson County High School
Performing Arts Scholarship: Kayla Fricks, East Jackson High School
Future Engineer Scholarship: Madison Ming, Jackson County High School graduate and Kennesaw State University Student
Future Engineer Scholarship: Astrada Kobe Rogers, Jackson County High School
Heather Backer P.E. Scholarship: Piper Pennington, East Jackson High School
Heather Backer Future Educator Scholarship: Carleigh Chandler, East Jackson High School
Heather Backer Future Educator Scholarship: Jessica Hughes, Jackson County High School
Heather Backer Future Educator Scholarship: Kailey Sosby, East Jackson High School
Heather Backer Educator Leader Scholarship: Shayla Gibson, Jackson County High School graduate and Kennesaw State University student
Heather Backer Educator Leader Scholarship: Abigail Cash, East Jackson High School graduate and University of North Georgia student
