Heather Backer P.E. Scholarship ($1,000) Sponsored by the Clerici Family

This scholarship is named to honor longtime JCSS physical education teacher Ms. Heather Backer. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who plans to pursue a career in physical education, to include: sports medicine and physical therapy.

Seniors from East Jackson High School and Jackson County High School are eligible to apply, but must be in good academic and behavioral standing with at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicants must plan to pursue a career in physical education, sports medicine or physical therapy.

This scholarship is for alumni of the Jackson County School System who are entering their final year of college and are pursuing a career in public education.

Alumni must be entering their final year of their undergraduate degree during the 2026-27 school year from an accredited university and plan to hold a teaching position in public education upon graduation.

This scholarship is for alumni of East Jackson High School and Jackson County High School who will be either juniors or seniors in undergraduate college coursework during the 2026-27 school year and are pursuing a career in engineering from an accredited university. Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA in undergraduate coursework.

This scholarship is for alumni of East Jackson High School and Jackson County High School who will be either juniors or seniors in undergraduate college coursework during the 2026-27 school year and are pursuing a career in engineering from an accredited university. Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA in undergraduate coursework.

Healthcare Scholarship ($1,000) Sponsored by Northeast Georgia Health System

This scholarship is available for seniors who attend either East Jackson High School or Jackson County High School and are planning to pursue a career in healthcare.

Students must be in good academic and behavioral standing with at least a 3.0 GPA.

Senior Healthcare Scholarship ($1,000) Sponsored by Northeast Georgia Health System

This scholarship is for alumni of East Jackson High School and Jackson County High School who have been accepted into an approved healthcare program. Programs can include nursing, EMT, technical college programs. Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA in undergraduate college coursework from an accredited university.

STEM Scholarship ($1,000)

The STEM scholarship will be awarded to a student who plans to study in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) or STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) field.

Students from East Jackson High School and Jackson County High School are eligible to apply, and must be in good academic and behavioral standing with at least a 3.0 GPA. Students must also plan to pursue a career in the STEM/STEAM Field.

Performing Arts Scholarship ($1,000)

This scholarship will be awarded to a student who will be pursuing performing arts at the collegiate level. Seniors from East Jackson High School and Jackson County High School are eligible to apply, and must be in good academic and behavioral standing with at least a 3.0 GPA.

Students must plan to pursue a career in performing arts, to include band, chorus, theater.

Let's Get Technical Scholarship ($1,000)

This scholarship will be awarded to a senior from either East Jackson High School or Jackson County High School who plans to pursue a career by attending a technical college or university. Seniors from both high schools are eligible to apply if they are in good academic and behavioral standing with their high school.
