This grant is named in honor of longtime physical education teacher Ms Heather Backer, who passed away in September 2024. This grant will be awarded to further advance physical education inside of the Jackson County School System. Individuals should submit a grant application describing the impact a $1,000 grant will have on improving physical education for students inside their school and/or classroom.
